Hope everyone had an extraordinary Father’s Day. Dads don’t
always get the kudos they deserve. My father was terrific
and I was lucky to be raised in such a loving family. My
son often says to me “The best thing that ever happened
to me is that I was born to you and Dad.” I feel the same
way. My parents raised me with love, accountability,
responsibility, discipline and fairness. I love them both
to this day.
Just found some interesting facts for you all from the PR
Insider. Senior women age 50 and over control net worth
of $19 trillion and own more than three-fourths of the
nation’s financial wealth. This from the MassMutual Financial
Group. Pretty impressive isn’t it? Claire Behar who is
Senior Partner and Director of New Business Development for
Fleishman-Hillard New York says, “Over the next decade, women
will control two-thirds of consumer wealth in the U.S. and be
the beneficiaries of the alrgest transference of wealth in our
country’s history.” So ladies, we have a lot of power coming
to us and we need to use it positive, productively and get
some new projects going.
I’d love to hear from any of you who are doing extraordinary
things and feature you in this newsletter–so start writing.
I began my taping a video for Oprah’s new show lineup. If
you go to the Oprah website, you can vote for me. I think
S.O.B’s need a voice to shout out to everyone who can hear
us.
Had my echo and blood work done this past week and am waiting
for the results. You know I am always preaching prevention,
so make sure you’re doing all the checkups that are necessary.
Also took Abby and Dylan in for their checkups with Dylan
meowing all the way in the car (I knew I didn’t take him
on plane trips for a reason) but they both were fine except
for ear drops I have to give Dylan.

Question and Answer:
Q: I am just not losing weight and I really am trying. Any
suggestions?
A: Our bodies all get to a set point and unless we do something
drastic, they don’t change. Really concentrate on your protein
intake especially after 5 p.m. Eliminate as many breads as you
can and make sure you keep yourself hydrated. Also look at how
much you are really moving. Unless you kick in that extra walk
or exercise class, you may not be burning as many calories as you
think you are. You need to ramp up the movement and tone down
the calories. Then you’ll really see the difference.

Tips:
1. Remember, you’re entitled to your own thoughts, feelings and
opinions.
2. Your dream will become your reality when you start focusing
on your complete plan.
3. Dream the ultimate. Picture and think about it day and night.
Put it into your thoughts, desires and the way you do things.
