Mid Life Crisis

Do you feel as if you are going through a mid life crisis? Do you feel less energized and powerful? Could it be that every thing you’ve worked for in the last many years is falling apart? Well, if you answered yes, you probably are hitting that mid life crisis point, although it happens at different ages for various folk. It’s difficult to ignore your body when it starts to ache a little more, or when people or events you mention are not remembered by the people you are with, and it’s even worse when your job is suddenly considered irrelevant. But guess what? You are still a vital, thriving, giving human being who is a value to the people around you. You may just have to look at yourself in a whole new light and discover your USP. In sales that means “unique selling proposition.” However, in your life, it’s what you bring to the table that no one else does. If there is ever a reason to re-invent yourself, a mid life crisis is one of them. Ask your friends. They’ll tell you things about yourself you can’t even imagine. I have been re-inventing myself so many times in the last few years, people aren’t sure who I am. My consistency is in the Spunky Old Broad brand, but I have increased my skills and abilities in many different areas. My son said to me just last week, “Mom, I am planning my life to slow down. You’re acting as if you’re 21 with all the things you have on your plate.” And I’m glad I do. No mid life crisis for me–or at least not for the next 20 years.
