I’m here in San Diego and per usual am having a fantastic time. Went to Earth Day in Balboa Park yesterday with my dear friend Sandra Schrift and of course, Abby. Never saw so many dogs but Abby was a hit per usual. She was exhausted and slept well all night.

Going through some problems with the surgery I had months ago on my chest, so I have bandaged myself and am scheduled to see the doc when I get back on Thursday. But my bone density and blood work came back and all is o.k. Found out I am now only five feet tall. No wonder I can’t reach the overhead anymore.

Have met some fantastic women this past week–both older and younger. But the most important thing is that they are all doing wonderful things. I just wish all of you out there who think it’s too late, or may be afraid to take a chance and branch out into something new, could see how much they are glowing. It could be you.

I have been reading and writing while here. I do so much better at concentrating when I am out in this locale.. I spend a lot of time on my balcony doing just those things. Abby loves to sit in the breeze, bark at everything going by, and just being with me. I take her for walks and rides in the car. Since she doesn’t have her cats to play with, it’s the least I can do.

Continue to clean my office and my son moved my computer into the new one but it isn’t working so I will have to deal with that when I get back. Thank goodness I have my laptop as a backup.

To everyone a Happy Passover, Happy Easter and most important, good health and happiness.

Question and Answer:

Q: I really don’t like exercise. I would just rather concentrate on losing weight. Why is exercise so important or can I achieve my goal of my “perfect weight” without it.

A: Know the difference. Exercise is for inches and dieting is for weight. So yes, you can achieve your ideal weight without exercise, but, and this is a big but, exercise is important for your bones, physical stamina, flexibility, and strength. You may weigh what you want, but your body itself won’t be strong and you may appear flabby. Do both and you will be thrilled with the results. Just keep experimenting until y9u find what works best for y9u.

Tips:

1. Make sure that you do something every day that makes you smile and quiver with excitement.

2. Make a list of everything that is draining your energy in personal, business or leisure life. Then eliminate them.

3. Remember, age is not a number–it’s a state of mind–your mind.
